The More You Do

Before I started at MDRC I worked in a sheltered workshop. While there I was very introverted and sheltered by lack of money and opportunity. In the years since I started working in an integrated setting I became confident in the decisions I make and more open to my friends suggestions. From work friends I receive advice and fun opportunities which make it easier to recognize fair criticism at work and judge what’s friendly kidding at home.  I believe this makes anyone a better person.

THE MORE YOU DO The MORE YOU DO

With work friends and an easygoing attitude I find that I found disability pride through getting out more.
The first step is applying and going through an interview process this may be hard but the first step is going into a business and asking for an application.

Good luck

A Little About Me..

Never Give Up
I learned not too long ago that a simple change in perspective can alter your personal life experiences dramatically.  I had suffered from severe depression for years and there were plenty of times when I felt completely helpless and like there was no way out.

I am here to tell you something.. I truly believe that everything happens for a reason, and it is up to each one of us to make the most out of any given situation we find ourselves in.  It is only after we have decided to move forwards and embrace change in our lives that we tend to find out what that reason is.  I have learned to look on the positive side of things and trust me, it has made all the difference!

Remember, no matter how bad things might seem to be in your life, you are never alone!  It is okay to feel hurt and broken sometimes and please know you are beautiful just the way you are! Life is meant to be a learning process and along the way we are all bound to make some mistakes. However, through the process just make sure you don't make the horrible mistake of giving up on yourself!
